Referral Program

As a PulpoChat customer, you can refer new customers to subscribe to one of our service plans.

All you need to do is share your personal Referral link and anyone that uses your link to create a new account will be automatically eligible to generate a commission for you when they subscribe to a paid plan.

You earn 25% of what your Referee is invoiced for their subscription plan, every month, for up to 12 monthly invoices, as long as the subscription remains active. Each month is calculated on the subscription plan line of that month's own invoice, not on the list price of the plan and not on the invoice total, so extra chat agents and other add ons billed alongside it do not earn anything.

The Referral Program launched on 1st April 2023 on terms of 30% for the first 3 months, and now runs on 25% for 12 months. A referral is priced on the terms in force on the day it is created and keeps them for its whole life, so referrals created before the new terms came into force keep 30% for 3 months under the previous Referral Program Terms, and referrals created after them run on 25% for 12 months. Nothing is migrated in either direction, so if you already have referrals running they keep paying exactly as they always did. A referral on the earlier terms runs to 3 monthly commissions and one on the current terms runs to 12, so the length of a referral's own timeline tells you which terms it is on.

Each month's commission becomes available to withdraw one calendar month after the date of the invoice that produced it.

Example: your Referee is invoiced on March 4th. The commission for that month becomes available to cash out on April 4th. Their next invoice, on April 4th, unlocks on May 4th, and so on for the rest of the term.

Commissions are rounded down to a whole unit of currency, so a plan billed at 69 pays you 17.

Your commission can be cashed out either as credit that discounts your own PulpoChat invoices, from a minimum of $5 / €5, or as money withdrawn through PayPal once you have accumulated a minimum of $50 / €50.

Payouts via PayPal are sent exclusively in EUR currency. If part of your balance is in another currency, it is converted to Euros at the exchange rate we apply on the day you request the cash out, not on the day the payment is issued.

A Referral Program dedicated section for monitoring and managing all referrals and profit is available in the Setting section > Referral Program section.

Go to your account page and click on "Referral Program" and obtain your PulpoChat referral link URL.

Ensure you share the full URL in order to track any user that signs up using your Referral code.

Open any referral in the list to see its month by month timeline: what each month earned, the plan it was billed on, and the date each pending month becomes available to withdraw.

That's it! Now you can withdraw your commissions to your registered PayPal email address or use them as credit that gives you a discount in your existing subscriptions in PulpoChat.

1. Your Referee must create a brand new PulpoChat account using your link. The referral is registered at sign up, so somebody who is already a registered user cannot be linked to you afterwards, even if they click your link.

2. Ensure your Referral signs up within 60 days from clicking on the unique URL link that you have shared with them.

3. The sign up must happen on the same device & browser that opened your link, and the browser cookies must not be cleared in between. Once the account has been created the referral is already recorded, so the payment can be made later and from anywhere.

4. Sign ups made through a reseller or white label portal are not tracked by the Referral Program. Share the link shown in your own Referral Program settings.

5. Under the Referral Program Terms, your Referee has a maximum of 60 days from creating their account to making their first payment.

6. By participating in the Referral Program and sharing your link with anyone, you agree the Referral Program Service Terms & Conditions.

We cannot thank you enough for promoting our services, nonetheless, we cannot apply for the Referral Program retroactively. Now that we do have a properly structured Referral Program, you can keep recommending PulpoChat to begin getting paid for doing so 🙂

The Referral Program was launched on 1st April 2023. We cannot offer commissions retroactively.

They carry on exactly as they are. A referral is priced on the terms it was created under, and those terms never change, so your existing referrals keep paying 30% for their 3 months under the previous Referral Program Terms.

Every referral created since the new terms came into force runs on them: 25% for 12 months. You do not need to do anything, and your referral link stays the same.

Open a referral to see which of the two it is on: one on the earlier terms runs to 3 monthly commissions in its timeline, one on the current terms runs to 12.

No. A referral only registers when a brand new account is created from your link, so somebody who already has a PulpoChat account cannot become your Referee by clicking it.

There is also an automatic check on the WhatsApp number: if the number your Referee connects was already used by a different user in PulpoChat during the previous 365 days, the referral is rejected and generates no commission.

Beyond those two rules, past customers are excluded by the Referral Program Terms & Conditions, and we reserve the right to cancel a referral that breaches them.

Your commission is calculated on each monthly invoice as it is issued, so a plan change is reflected from the invoice that follows it. If the Referee upgrades, your commission goes up. If they downgrade, it goes down.

Mid cycle changes do not pay on their own: the proration charge issued when the plan changes in the middle of a billing cycle is not counted, and it does not consume one of your months.

For example: your Referee's first monthly invoice bills their plan at 69, so that month pays you 17. On day 16 of that cycle they upgrade their plan. The proration charge for the upgrade pays you nothing. Their second monthly invoice bills the plan at 99, so the second month pays you 24.

Commissions are rounded down to a whole unit of currency. The percentage applied to a month is fixed the first time that month is calculated, so a later change of program terms never re-prices a commission you have already earned. The amount can still fall to zero if the invoice behind it is refunded, voided or written off as uncollectible, and it is final once you have cashed that month out.

Unfortunately, PayPal payouts can be made exclusively in Euros (EUR) at this time.

If you take your commission as account credit instead, it is applied in the currency your own PulpoChat subscriptions are billed in.

Yes. Your commission follows the subscription, not the number, so your Referee can change their WhatsApp number as many times as needed without cancelling the subscription.

The one condition is that each number they connect must not have been used by a different user in PulpoChat during the previous 365 days. That check runs for the whole life of the referral, and a number that fails it rejects the referral.

Under the Referral Program Terms & Conditions there is a maximum of 60 days from the day the Referee signs up until their first payment in order for the Referrer to receive commissions of the purchased plan.

Any user that clicks on your link but does not sign up immediately can be linked as your Referee within 60 days. If the user does not sign up within 60 days, the Referee will not be eligible.

If you are eligible to cash out, you have at least $50 / €50 consolidated profit, and you have a PayPal account, you can request a payout and we will process it within 7 business days.

In case we find some irregularities in the application, we may reach out for further clarification. We reserve the right to reject the application in case we find that it's in breach of our Referral Program Terms & Conditions.

The Referrer gets commissions only for the first subscription paid by the Referee, so if the Referee subscribes to one or multiple plans the commissions for the Referrer don't change. Additional chat agents and other add ons billed on the same invoice do not earn commissions either.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to split the commission.

You can decide once per cash out how you would like to obtain the commissions profit: via PayPal or converted to credit in your account (as a form of discount in future payments). Each cash out is made with a single method and withdraws your whole available balance.

Not at the moment. We do not send an email when a new Referee signs up or subscribes, so the Referral Program page is the place to follow your referrals and your balance.

The only referral email we send is the confirmation of a PayPal withdrawal, once it has been approved.
